ANNA's Caipirinha
What you will need:
- Limes (The juicer the better)
- Caster Sugar (Many bartenders claim it's better to use brown sugar, ANNA disagrees)
- A Cocktail Shaker
- Muddler
- A Rocks Glass
- Ice
- Cachaca (ANNA swears by Cachaca 51 or Sagatiba Pura)
What to do:
- Cut the lime into four wedges and remove the bitter inside portion. (White portion)
- Put the lime wedges into cocktail shaker, 3-4 wedges depending on the size of lime
- Add one and half tablespoons of caster sugar
- Add half a shot of Chacaca
- Now ANNAholics, muddle the mix, always muddle in an either clockwise or anti-clockwise motion. Take your time, about 15 seconds is perfect or until you see that the mix has formed a very pasty substance. The muddling is not only to extract the juice but to extract the rich oils from the lime skin.
- Next you add ice to the mix
- Now add one and half shots of Cachaca to your mix
- Close the lid and shake vigorously for 3-5 seconds
- Pour ANNA concoction into a rocks glass and voila! You have an ANNA Caipirinha
- Garnish with limes, or a thin slice of sugar cane

I did it too. Removing the white stuff from the lime, makes a huge difference. Great tip. Thanks Anna. Can you do a recipe on Caprioska too?
